I reckon it's down to the rider.
I knew the tyre would be slippery.
I didn't know that bit of road would be, but I should have taken more notice.
End of story.
Thanks fully not much damage was done, except I was late starting the barby and the missus had a little spit.......

I do too to a point, when tires are fitted why not when they spin em for balancing sruff em up with whatever is effective, or why not the tyre manufactures remove their wax, prolly caus it protects the tyre compound in storage?
Anyway, I have never had a problem with going for a 150km scub in ride
good excuse to go out

You can always do what the racers and track punters do with slicks, rub them down with some tyre buffer.
$15 for 1 litre and it will last for years...
Don't know why the dealers don't use it...

guys, this world is getting too "blame sum1 else"..it shits me, no1 will take responsibility for their own actions..we KNOW tyres are slippery as fuk, so WE have to take it easy...
and its not like u ride upright for 100 km then go nuts & lean it at full tilt..if u do that ur silly enuf to end up on ur ass....
take it slow, wear the wax coating off the tyre...once u hit abt 60kph slowly start to weave, not to hard..gradually increasing lean , but feeling thru the bars/pegs if its letting go....
ive never managed to blame a drop on a new tyre, only on my own stupidity..
UP@- its a real pisser mate, bummer, but i respect the fact ur not blaming every other prick out there for ur own error, too many ppl these days want a free cop out..
