Adjustable brake lever?

Post by Shifty »

The brake lever on my GPZ isn't in the ideal position - can you fit adjustable levers somehow, or am I just stuck with it as is?

If it's possible, how do I go about it... can I just get one off another bike and it should bolt straight up, or is it a headfark?

your clutch and brake levers look similar to mine, which i was able to interchange with those from a zx10r. I'd recommend rocking up to a bikeshop that has them in stock & comparing them to those on your bike. I got a pair of after market ones that looked identical to OEM for about $30 each.

I did the swap after a massive bout of carpal tunnel issues due to over stretching of my left hand as the clutch was just a touch too far away to be used comfortably with my non-gorilla sized hands.

A handy hint is to also spray some chain grease on the master piston when you do the change, as the chances are it'll be pretty bloody dry :-).
