Another article that was interesting in Fast Bikes was their annual super bike test. The test was held at a French circuit called Circuit de Croix-en-Ternois (apparently pronounced Sir-kee duh Krwah on Turn-wah). They put Michelin Power Race tyres on every bike and then one rider did 10 laps and recorded his fastest times.
The times for the bikes were:
Suzuki GSX-R1000.....58.31sec
Kawasaki ZX-10R.......58.64sec
Suzuki GSX-R750.......58.75sec
Ducati 999.................59.05sec
Honda Fireblade.........59.75sec
Kawasaki ZX-6R.........59.80sec
Honda CBR600RR.......1.00.62sec
Suzuki GSX-R600.......1.00.91sec
I thought it was interesting to see just how close the 600cc are to the 1000cc. Especially seeing how close it was to the "bike-that-shall-not-be-named".

ZX6R did good
I live with fear everyday but on weekends she lets me ride.
Re: ZX6R did good
check out performance bikes. it beat both the fireblade and duke in lap times. their course seems to be a lot like normal road conditions. off camber corners, shit bitumen, etc, etc.Tack wrote:Another article that was interesting in Fast Bikes was their annual super bike test. There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

aaaahhhh..... its nice knowing I have a bike that is both much better than me and, so it would seem, better than many, many bikes on the road.
But, it also means my excuse basket is looking a little sparse.

The Doc says my blood is green. Thankfully, there is nothing he can do to help
