Bridgestone 012 tyre life
On a previous post i wrote i was montoring a tyre on a mates bike. The tyre was the Bridgestone 012 not the 012ss.
I was informed that it was superb in the wet and sticky on the road. I posted the tyre lasted for 8000kms. I got news the tyre was replaced on the weekend and since new its travelled 7281km, so not quite 8000kms.
Sorry for misleading anybody.

Guys, I started with Dunlop 204's on the 7, they were OEM, but ripped real quick. Tried a few 207's (2f, 4r), they lasted well but seemed hard and pretty slippery in the real cold. How ever now I'm in love with the Michelin Pilots. Just wondered why no one had mentioned them? Tried Battle axes on my bruvas ZZR1100 and didn't like them, may be just coz its such a different bike to mine??
Pilots are the go for my money. Prob is Im a povo student I dont have much.

It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

like i said, compared to the dunnies, the pilots are ace.
I was once told by a wise old man that he wouldn't put Dunlops on a wheel barrow. Gotta respect him coz his car will beats the zx7r to 200km every time! and guess what, it doesn't have dunnies either.

The d208's are better than the 207's
but having said that the 208 have slipped alittle while I was in Tassy
The front 208 is still newish but the rear is gettingdown.
So I'm only buying a rear . I'm not real keen on having two different makes but might do it anyway.
Looks like I might try the 012 on the back and when the front wears replace it with a 012 there as well.
The 65 prfile for the front tyre is my only problem.
I know dunlop make it but do the others.

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
