If it just the look your after don`t buy one. It will quicken your steering but make the bike head shake and be unstable at speed.
30mm is a fair lift and you will probably end up needing a steering damnper.

Be careful with AMC I have had dealings with them, where they sent me the wrong part and it took nearly three months to sort out.

ive already got a steering dampner on.
really needed it after i changed from a 190 rear tyre to a 180.
apparently 180 is standard for the zx9r but above road legal speeds i still have some headshake even with the dampner.
maybe the 190 is the way to go for rear tyre in the future.
yeah it was just a passing interest thanks for the feedback

As well as fitting the 190, have you changed the geometry at all ?. The 9's aren't noted for their headshaking abilities. If your looking to mod her up to Spec, maybe you could go for an "F" model swingarm as that was the big chnage from the previous models.

Dont listen to him mate he's a BIG fibber, the 03 9r Hammer had was the quickest thing that has been at the next intersection waiting for me/us.
Would a made a good trackie Stu hows the "mower blade" coming along ?
As for Phil ... dont start me on that one  But obviously 10r's shouldnt go out to Nasho if they wanna save their riders dignity from coping a hammer from fat ole' 9r with a bag on the back.
cheers Brett

i had a b model zx9r before the c model
was looking to upgrade to either a tlr1000 or a newer zx9r
about 5 shops (out of 5) told me zx9r c model has it all over tlr in handling ,hp and accelaration. in fact i was told the zx9r had the fastest 0-150 of any road legal bike from 1998 to 2002. can anyone else confirm this? also i heard the c1 model was the fastest zx9r ever made because of the shorter stroke engine. again can anyone else confirm this?
after all of this advice all i can say is the 9s are a badass bike and im hoping the 10 is even more badass when i buy one

Tlr was a bit of a flop, the motor( the gearbox is better than a c1 thats for sure) was a good thing but it was a bit to heavy. Power would be similar to your 9.
Nar not the fastest and not the fastest 9 either.
The zx10 is way way more badass than your 9

In 02 the 9r was the quickest litre bike of the jap bikes over the quarter(easier to launch without wheelstanding) & boasted highest top speed as well (air ram).

But compared to the new group of thous' its a pretty nice tourer

V twins sound great with after market pipes & ......... ? 8)
