clutch adjustment

Post by Dj »

i would like my clutch to engage closer to the grip
as it is, its fully engaged about 2mm, if that, from letting the handle go ( at the furthest distance from the grip)

i'd prefer it to engage much earlier...

could someone please advise me as to how to do this before i go out to 'experiment'
i guess it'll be much the same as the cbr250 and simply require adjustment at the engine end of the cable...?

Hi,

A ZXR 750 H1 should have a span adjustment with the clutch lever, if not it is not the correct one fitted in the first place, $25 MCA P'Matta

Same problem as above. Different person (me). Different bike. ZZR250. Clutch is pissing me off, and my friends keep teasing me about it  Tried adjusting it to the smallest, girlie-hand setting, but that hasn't helped. Cable is loose too. Help? -J.

always good to get an assistant to do the work for you
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Heh, I'm at school on thursday RG, but I won't have Zed with me. I'd rather be shown how to do it than just have someone do it for me, anyway.

:?

I'm a little concerned my last sentence may be edited by mina or neka and misconstrued (sp.?) into smut.

Where's Smitty when you need a step by step, idiot's guide to adjusting bits of your bike? -J.
