Whaaat the f**k, what you do to your tyres
I'm on my bike every day, just clocked over 15k ~ 7 months and I ain't no angel on me bike (didn't take long to get rid of the chicken strips), just got down to the little markers in the middle of the tread. Will have to look into getting some new ones soon though as I got a couple more track sessions coming up soon.
i only got 5500k's outta my pilot sport, & i think i'll be pushin 2 get that outta the 012ss
About 3000km's max for me on previous rear Pilot Power, don't know what I will get out of the front.
My Previous Pilot Sports only lasted: 1st 3000km, 2nd 3500km's on rear.
I have about 10700km on bike now & onto my 2nd rear Pilot Power.
The Last Power started to get abit slippery @ Darlington with about 2500km's on it, But it was approx 12months old.

Depends where your going and what you are doing, if you are a first timer just take your road tyres asuming that there reasonably fresh and not 3 year old arrowmaxes that came on the bike.
We only have champions days in qld now and they have a tyre change guy so I am considering takeing a set of something else along and using them for track tyres and keeping the road tyres for road tyres.
Might stop the plod from arriving at the back of my bike and going while they are examining my rear tyre, I was doing a couple of track days a month.
What sort of bike?
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
Well I'm not massively worried about wear because i've only got a lil ZZR250 and there's no way I'm going to wear down the rear (excessively) at a track day - I was more concerned about grip and whether or not everyone else is going to have more and constantly be hurrying me up (though I imagine they will anyway the first few track efforts).
Once I move up to a bigger bike I might think more about a separate set of tyres for track work.
Yeah I will add my name to the list of satisfied BT45 (previous) users. I had them on my old GSX, my Zephyr, and *that* Gixxer as well. Bloody good tryes for the price, and last fairly well too.
