Hi all - I'm adding to Adelaide's (huge) rider population!

Post by Shaman »

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm 21, have put a deposit down on some gear and I'm looking for a silver ZX2R in the near future. I'm yet to actually attain my rider Ls (fully car-licensed), but that's also on the cards in the next couple of weeks. :P

Aside from that, I'm an IT technician for a growing company here in Adelaide who has previously enjoyed big cars (supercharged 5L HSV VN SS 8 Plus is current car). Now petrol prices are bordering on stupid and I'm looking for a more fun, economical way to get around now that I actually know the roads quite well and feel I have some sort of maturity (enough not to be too stupid on a bike) :P

Just out of interest, I saw a group of 5 or 6 bikers last night cruising down Henley Beach Road towards the city last night - was that organised through here?

Anyways, just saying hello and I hope to scale the ranks of annoyance like some other guys on here seem to have attained *nods at Neka* :)

G'day again.

I don't think the bikes crusing down H/Beach road were anyone from here. Probably just a bunch of guys out for a cruise.

It could have been some of the clowns from Team SWAT but considering the s-bend on that road, I doubt it. Those turkeys don't know how to go around a corner.

Hehe yah I know, I'm liking the support the Kawasakis get, and I think you have to like the look of the vehicle (be it car or bike) you're 'piloting' :) In my opinion, I think the Kwakas look pretty damn good. Ducatis are better, but slightly out of my price range for the time being (and experience range, for that matter :P)

I work for Searchdrifter Pty Ltd - some Adelaide people may have seen my boss's car around - Silver 2003 HSV GTO LE Coupe with the license plate 'LE2NV' :) We're a small company at the moment but we have a sister company called AdelaideTODAY which has a few people on board and is growing quite well. I do the IT support for both firms - quite a bit of variety, which is good :)

By the way, if anyone sees a silver ZX2R around the place for cheap, please lemme know. Also - are auctions a good place to go to find a bike for cheap? Anyone know WHERE the auctions are here in Adelaide?
