04 ZX636 speedo falt

Post by varden »

any thoughts on why my digital speedo/odometer has stopped working?

Rest of the instrument cluster is fine, could the sender be fouled up??

Thoughts....cos it not go now and cluster only has 200km on it!

is the sender that device on the front sproket cover with the wires running to it?

Yep the sender is the thing that screws into the left hand side cover, could try giving the conection into the back of the speedo a wiggle too but be carefull the pins are tiny and delicate.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

hmmmm....the plug into the back of the cluster is a bit suspect after being ripped out of the instrument cluster when the previous owner wrote the bike off.

Which is part of the reason why getting it repaired under warranty is not my first choice. Good excuse for local kawasaki dealer to pass the buck.
