I'd had the 9 about 3 weeks when I asked this question before in February. I ended up putting Pilot Roads on both the ZX9R and the VFR. We're both very happy with them, and they suit the type of riding we do. They've worn very well, but they don't have the 6000kms we'll be asking of them for the PI trip.
So its tyre shopping time. I'd like to go back to Bridgestones, so that would mean BT020s. A few people said they put BT014s on the front.

Now that we're all 7 months wiser, does anyone have any experiences with these tyres? Particularly interested in how they handle the wet. Not 100% convinced the Pilot Roads are good in the wet, though Jen has no trouble (she's done heaps more wet kms than me).

Anybody tested micks shenkos yet? There cheap as chips but not sure if they will do a return trip and look to have a better sort of tread patern for wet weather /touring than the pilot powers I have been useing.
I am thinking about a power on the front and a shenko on the rear.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

didn't Sean try the Shinko on the 7? (didn't have it long enough to test it out though!!
) told ya I wouldn't let you live it down!!
Anyway, that R:020 and F:014 is sweet. (I've never done anything but dunlops and bridgies... and Bridgies have been the go for me)
I am quite interested in the Michilins though, just cuz I've never tried them. And the amount of tyres one tends to go thru, I think I may as well give them a go once. Can't hurt.
BTW- I hate all you bastards having to worry about a trip to the Island!
BASTARDS!! (have fun you pricks)
