Suprised there hasn't allready been a thread about this...
What does everyone make of Kawasaki's signing of De Puniet?

I think there was before the crash.
I'm reasonably happy about it, he's had a crap year this year, but was good last year, even though he crashed a bit. Seems to have a bit of fire so all in all a positive thing, might as well give a young guy a go as throwing money at the likes of checa/biaggi/barros who you know will finish mid field.

See how he goes for the next couple of seasons he can't use the excuse that he doesn't know the tracks

I think that Shinya has had a pretty consistant effort this year and if the bike could give them a little more we'd have something shout about...Go Green '06.

I dunno.... IMHO You'd thing Eckl would have learnt by now, using an inexperienced GP rider hasn't gotten him anywhere..
They need to get someone experienced enough to help them develop the bike.. And jumping from recently departed 250 rider to the next isn't going to get you there... That's what I think anyway..
But I wish him all the best and I do hope he does well and is able to push hard.
I also think that in developing a bike you should be with a proven tyre manufacturer...
I think the best thing Kawa could do is run a 2nd race team and let someone different in to run it and see how things go... How can you expect to develop things and excel with just 2 bikes in a season. But at the end of the day the almighty dollar rules all, and I do understand it's costs alot of money, etc, etc..

I like the idea of a second team dan maybe with a privateer running it with factory backing.
Having seen gary mcoys comments on faster I would wish them luck but after last nights gp coverage they showed the constructers points and kwacka wasnt on the bottom of the list.
We have shinya to thank for that result he was consistently tenth.
need a rider thats going to have a go even if they crash it occaisonaly in anger at least they are having a go.
watching the 250s it was interesting to hear that nackers still held the 250 lap record for the track
and it was from when he was riding a yamaha.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Unless they're going to Dunlops the Bridgies have had a pretty good season on the Ducatis 2 x race wins and a coupla podiums. Look how well Tamada did in 03 on the Honda with Bridgies compared to his so so effort this year on Michies.Dan wrote: I also think that in developing a bike you should be with a proven tyre manufacturer...
