Mate, just get a couple of washers between the rear suspension unit and it's mounting point, you'll be amazed at how quick she'll tip in then

im not unhappy with the tip in, and wouldnt wanna sacrifice any stability to make it tip in a little easier... maybe raise the forks a little for the track but not too fussed... need a better rear tyre before anything else!

Yeah the nines are good for a tourer, but they are no R1

By raising the forks I believe he means raising the fork tubes in the triple clamps hence lowereing the front end and improving turn in...
My forks were through the triples clamps an additional 6mm and the rear was raised about 14mm...

and Hemi, lets see how that R1 goes at the creek before you diss the track capabilities of the 9.. and you gotta be able to beat Fab first..

Well they're still the same model designation (ZX900) so I say you've got every right to participate. The GPZ900 is a top piece of kit for an old boat... I've gone to the dark side to experience a V-Twin, but my next bike seems a likely tossup between a Z1000, 01-03 ZX9R or an 04/05 ZX10R.

i got my 9 running pretty good now, its a beast

needs a few more tweeks to the floats and needles but i'll get it perfect one day... its a good thing my girl took the bike to work today, else i would be tinkering with it instead of doing home work..... oops, post whoring

if only kawa kept making 9R's, but used the same motor as Z1000's (which is a 9R motor bored out to ~954cc with EFI if im not mistaken) but a bit harder tuned... ~155hp stock with oodles of torque would be nice... a sports litre class bike with a hint of tourer, unlike the razor edge 10R...

hell call it a ZZR954 or ZZR1000 what ever... they brought the old ZX6R back for exactly that reason to replace the ZZR600 so why not something with a few more cubes

im sure they still have the tooling for it

Well they kept bringing the original one back till 02' due to customer demand (GPz900R/ZX900R was originally produced from 84' till 91', then returned in 93', then returned from 99' to 02', with minimal changes during the entire run) , so why not. Just need to get people to let Kwaka know.
