Ive been watching this post to get some ideas. My 9 has a slip on Remus Grand prix can, no jetting. I just removed the mess from the filter to see if there was any improvement. Well..... straight away noticed more power in the mid and a good gain in the top end. Very impressed. I still might take it to get a dyno done on her just incase its to lean??
Thanks for the tips guys....

GOTTA LUV THE 9..... ;)

Well well well.

I'm not sure whether it's just my imagination, or my desire for something to be different after the filter mod, but the bike certainly seems a bit stronger in the mid range and up top and just generally a little more perky. The engine seems "free-er" to rev up too. It might be my imagination, but whatever, I like. :D

I don't think there is a large noticeable step increase in power- unlike my other 9 that went from fully stock, to a "cat converter free" Kerker straight through exhaust can... pity I don't have a dyno run on the roady... but yeh, the impression is that there's more power.

I was concerned about it running too lean - it definitely doesn't smell as rich as it was before the mod, but the operating temperature didn't go any higher, which I'd expect if it was too lean, so seems like it's a win win.

All good!

:D

Punisher, that's an insane improvement!!
