I did 14 hours straight on the zx12( with fuel stops of course ) and I never thought I`d be able to do that on any sports bike.
They have the most leg room of any sports bike and do fit big ppl well.
But if ya mates gunna do alot of track days and tight twisties the 10 would be the ticket.

I agree. I'm 6'0 and my 10 is more comfortable than my 9 was. A lot less weight on the wrists too which I know sounds weird given the look of the comparative ride positions. I think the tank helps here as you tend to rest your gut against it a bit more.

I thought about the 12 and the decision for me came down to whether I wanted a predominantly solo ride or a doubler. If I were doing more two up I probably would have got the 12. I think either way I would've been happy.

It is difficult not to have the stupid grin on your face after a ride though even if you do take it sedately. The 10 is just one of those bikes I reckon

Mick C - did you take the 12 with the Remus can for a strop ? I am assuming this is the same test hack from CMMC ? . If so, this is the same rig I got to take home to convince the cook about purchasing - a great ploy suggested by Mike H, and it worked a treat  New bike sitting in the shed the very nice day *sigh* it is just fabulous. The '05 model is a heap more 'comfortable' than the '02 model I took for a test fang a few years ago - it did not impress much at all. I have a personal test 'loop' from Fyshwick/Majura Road/Fed Hwy/Macs Reef/Bung/Qbn/Fysh. Did this loop in 23 minutes on the '02 12......

As far as the 12 v 10 argument goes, I have a mate with a '05 10R, and have ridden that a few times as well. It is a scalpel, where the 12 is more of your Wiltshire StaySharp ( if you get the drift.) Mind you, a well-ridden 12 should only see the back-end of a 10 in the really tight stuff, they are sooooo sharp thru the twisties mmmmmmmm light weight is one thing, having the cojones to use it is something else entirely.......

I concur with "The Smooth Crim Rider", At 5'4" the 10R fitted really well, I liked the riding position alot. On the 12R i feel a bit overwhelmed by its mass & its a Drama to even get off the sidestand.

As for Replacing my 02 9R, I think i would have to go second hand & buy either a 02 or 03 9R again. i really Hope Kwika put the Z1000 fuel injection on the 03 9r n release it as a ZZR900/ZZR1000. Only then i'd have something to look forward too.
What ya reckon Phil ?.
Cheers Brett
