Re: NINJA H2
I presume you've read the Kawasaki service bulletin on paint care
Holy shit batman, it's on the Ninja H2 forum. Sounds like you need to resign yourself to the fact that unless you stick this thing in a dust proof room and never take it out then it's going to scratch like buggery. Compressed air first to blow dust off, no pressure washers, two buckets with grit filters
Clear wrap sounds good.

That would be great if the dealers said anything or supplied anything, all I got was a micro fibre cloth,no mention of protectorent .I wouldn't have even minded paying for it but that's a bit hard if its not mentioned.MYZXR wrote:Have a read of this if you haven't already.

Re: NINJA H2
I have another option other than wrapping. Wrapping will also damage from stone chips etc.
I have personally used this gear on a couple car restorations and on a few bikes. (Been in the painting game for over 20 years.)
I also used to resell this stuff when I was a paint rep for a few companies.
I never sold stuff I didn't use myself or if they didn't do what they were suppose to.
This stuff is simply amazing. Hammer tough and chip proof.
With any paint though, preparation is they key and this is no exception. But when done properly it is brilliant.
I have an resto I done (Chrysler Royal) about 8 years ago and used a few of these products and namely the Glisten PC on the chrome work and paint.
http://www.ppcco.com.au/por11.html
(Btw I am no longer affiliated with this company or products anymore) I just like to pass on experiences and gear that actually works.
However, I havent looked and know what the actual topcoat of the H2R is, but the guys at PPC are VERY helpful.
Hope you find a solution soon as it would be a shame to be worried to ride that sweet bike, or have it damaged.

Re: NINJA H2
I will look into it, but would only get a professional to apply something like that and yep would have to check that it is compatable with this paint and clear coat used by Kawasaki as once used and if there was any problem kwaka would wipe any warranty.Apparently a tank for one of these things is over $3000.00

Re: NINJA H2
Ok so i book my bike in for service a week ago, ring on friday to confirm all is good told yep.Get a call today 2.00 pm im sorry we dont have an oil filter for your bike, the mechanic i also spoke to at 11.30 this morning told me yep just draining your oil will be ready today.DICKHEADS.This is the dealer that i spoke to earlier and was saying bring me your bike for servicing we will look after you.Mate great start problem is there are limited H2 dealers as mechanics had to do a special course for them,so i am left with incompetence at one or peter stevens.Great not the best choices now my bike will sit in there workshop for the next few days which i am not happy about, since i dont really want to burn bridges so early i will call the dealer boss of the one that has my bike and expresss quietly and calmly that i am quite dissapointed.WHEN I CALM DOWN

Absolutely got some M7rr metzlers on the way 2 rears and a front.Rang the local shops nope Gas imports are hard to deal with so we don't stock metzler tyres.Tried another guy MMTS whos normally really good .nope don't get much call for these tyres so best to order of the net.You want to buy or at least give the locals a go but hey whtas a man to do.Internet wins again.laidback wrote:Stuff it mate, get the gripiest tyre you can and just enjoy.z900/zx9 wrote:Well shes home, 1st service $320.00, oil $84.00 filter $27.50 Parts $111.50 labor $176.00 ,Didn't check how many ks were on here when I dropped her off,but I think there was 15ks extra. Yeah spot on.
There's so much talk about locals not being able to compete with the net but then this sort of thing happens.
There's still a lot of shops that will go out of their way though, thankfully.

Don't exactly know what the hell you would do with an extra 46hp other than show it to someone on a dyno chart. All seems a little unnecessary beyond the slip on.
