As a newbie rider, I have to say all the folk that I have rode with from this site have been awesome in relation to setting the pace, no one has pushed us newbies to dangerous limits but rather taught us that we have a pace and it will improve as we ride more, it means you learn at your own (as the thread states) pace which is just brilliant and I thank you all for that it makes the ride so much nicer and so much more fun and a comfortable non dangerous challenge to improve your skills at your rate.

Well after riding with some of the Fella's at HG and GOR
all I can say is
Leader...what leader?
Pace......what pace?
Not to detract from the safety and all around good information Hoffy....but have you ridden with some of these maniacs?
I suppose "Bat out of hell" is actually "a pace"

Today's run on the OPH had a great turn out with fine weather and dry roads, but there was quite a bit of hard braking on a few occasions so I thought I might just re-bump this thread for good measure. It's a road boys and girls, not a race track!

I don't think it's a problem as long as people are not just slaming on the anchors.

Hence the need for a reminder about this thread! Myself Im happy to putter along utilising throttle control only, if I use the brakes in any way I feel like Ive messed up my entry speed and thats what they are there for.
