race fairings - ZX6. Where from???

Post by MrStompy »

Im after a track fairing for my 05 zx6 so i dont ruin a perfectly good bike next time i got to the track.

Ive tried racers edge and they dont do the 05 zx6r

where have people got track fairings for their 05 zx6r's?

i spoke to a bloke from "wet4u race fairings" (dodgy name) today and he wants about $900 for a full set which sounded not too bad until he said "... You just drill holes in the frame and they bolt straight on..."

im not drilling holes in anything - thanks anyway. Im sure they are good fairings but i dont really want to start drilling holes in my nice bike.

so what i am after is a race glass that uses the standard holes and is available in australia.

any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks

are you sure he didn't mean drill the holes in the fairing and bolt em to the frame?

cos after some trimming thats all i had to do for my 03 race fairings.

Nah they are not that good & he would have ment the raceglass needs holes drilled in them....

Racers Edge are better quality, but if they don't make them....

Found a couple of sets on E-bay (USA) in both Street and Track set up (street has the headlight and tail light cut outs). and they were pretty cheap $295-$300 US, I was all geared up to get them but the seller went and found out the prices to ship them here. FARK ME!!!!!!!! nearly $800.00 US, not because of the weight but because of the amount of space they take up.

I have a friend over there and we are working on a way of freighting them over more cost effectively.

I just sent an SMS to a mate who might still have the raceglass he bought for his '05 636. He's sold the bike, and, at last update, he still had the glass.
