FI Warning Light on my 10R
Hey all,
while riding home tonight, the FI light came on and didnt go off while I was riding. I was wondering if anyone can tell me why this light came on and what to do to fix it.
Cheers,
kypez.

Lights on the 6,10,12 and I guess the 14 all have the same functions....they warn you when something has failed/been interrupted, it's a feature of the EFI unit
Grab your manual and see what it says in there, failing that there is usually a connection in the cable near the ECU that is tapped to earth 3 times and this causes the ecu to enter report mode..........the amount of times the lights on the dash flash relates to a specific fault but you will need the service manual for that

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
Have you frigged around with anything on it or is it totally standard.
For example if you frig with the KleenAir you will get the FI light to come on... What was the last thing you did B4 it appeared, ie. cleaned it, had the tank off etc.
Whenever something goes "wrong" ALWAYS go back to the thing YOU did last before it happened...

Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
havent done anything to the bike. Was riding in the rain last night on the way home. Well, light drizzle really. And the light just came on. I had not ridden the bike for 20 days or so...
Cant understand it. Its off to the dealer on Thursday, fingers crossed.
