ignition coils and leads

Post by WRT_GPX »

Hmm, i tried searching the forums but to no help, im looking at replacing my coils and leads, or at least the leads.

after contacting Narellan kawasaki i found out they only sell the coils and leads combined at a price of 140 somthing each, which is pretty steep when im mainly just looking at leads, and the coils seem fine.

Do you have to use kawasaki parts or is there some aftermarket support for bike ignitions avaliable? especially if im just after the leads o.o

ps. the bikes my gpx 250

Call Sydney Motorcycle Wreckers, they may be able to help IF they are splitable, then again a lot of these units have the coils and leads as one to stop points of failure.

You should be able to remove the leads. You can buy solid core ingnition lead by the meter. Most bike need the solid core leads to get the right resistance so don't be tempted to fit silicone leads as it may not work. if you have any problems let me know.
