ZX12R rear Indicator mod.

Did this mod ages ago, and promised Blue12 I would post it up sometime.....

This is a really simple mod - it gets the indicators in really close to the tailpiece, instead of sticking out into the breeze........

All you need to do is move the centre 'spacer' from the outside of the tailpiece, to the inside. You have to take the indicators off, and there is a slight modification required to the mounting hole to enable the spacer to fit on the 'inside', under the tail-light, you use all the original mounting bolts etc etc, its a simple mod and could probably be done on any number of Kawasaki's that use this style of indicator.

Looks much tidier imho. From above, you can barely see the lenses. There is enough clearance from the zorst as well........

Hey Gos, where did you get the hugger?

that was from the group buy that was organised on the forum last year - although the guy that organised it all hasn't posted much since then :?

It is from Geelong Carbon Composite - located up on the Gold Coast - I also got a tank protector, it is a ripper.

Would recommend the hugger, it was a good tight fit (always happy with one of those  )

Gos, looks good mate, have you considered tinting up the indicator lens's and putting in brighter bulbs, I've seen it done on a black R1 and it looked clean ... no orange lens's hanging out to spoil the view.

I had thought about the usual *clear* lenses, but not tinting them black........mmmm, I like a bit of black too (eh Mick  ), whats the go with tinting ? And wouldn't brighter (higher wattage) bulbs upset the flasher unit ?? I like the direction this is heading....... :D

This looks like the go. What a great idea.

Am looking to change the current setup that i have, anyone that isn't already aware (yeah this included me) LED's are almost impossible to see during the daytime making em extremely dangerous.

This looks just as good retaining functional purpose.
