Clutch wont disengage

Okay heres another one...today my clutch dies it feels like a broken or stretched cable but i replaced it and still cant get the sucker to work.

last time it felt like this was when i had the basket out and alinged all the plates insted of all the plates except the last one.

can ride it with no clutch it works fine its just a bugger if you want to stop or whatever.

Any ideas???

I whipped the clutch cover off and had a look but couldnt find anything bad looking.

mine had similar problems once upon a time, it turned out being an easy fix....

all i needed was a new motor.

uh, you may have to look at the other side/end of the clutch shaft....

I have decided to go with wear that the end of the pusher bit that the cable attaches to or a better description is the bit that pulls against the clutch springs to make it disengage.

Will have to see if the dealer has one to compare with.

Not the bit that goes down the middle of the clutch but the bit the cable goes to that pulls on the bit that goes down the middle of the clutch.

I had that problem on the ZZR600 before, the rod that's sticking into the case was worn and wasn't t catching properly(fully), no matter how hard I pull, the clutch won't disengage 100%.

Make sure if you replace on of these you also replace the pin in the middle of the clutch as well, the pin that the thing pulls on had a bur on it which destroyed the other bit causing no clutch.

Takes 3 weeks to get a part from japan but fortunatly i found one local.

nah its stilll shagged marty well at this stage anyway so i might have to be out unless findapart can find me all the parts i need in good condition and not try to charge me more than they are worth new.
