Handlebar risers

Post by mick_dundee »

Am getting a bit of a kink in my neck due to riding position, conemplating handlebar risers which I believe will resolve the prob but they're friggin $200+ from the one place I can find them in the US of A, anyone have any idea of an Australian joint that might make them for the ZZR600 (96 model)?

I have these, I took em off after about 3 months, can go seek/search/destroy the shed if your interested in a pair of second hand ones and if they fit your bike.

I found they were great for the back, neck arms... but made the bullet a little "truck" like in the corners. But I have zip reach on all of my bikes.. so it may have just been moi.

If you can hunt them down be apprecviative, they are what I was looking at buying but $200 worth and if they make the bike a barge in corners then they'll hit the shed like your's did.

Brett, think about a 9 occassionally but then I think nah, so mcuh out there to try, sometimes think about 900 Hornet too but the shit I cop for being a Honda rider and the fact we've lost a few too many to the dark side lately puts me off a bit, the fact I have $0 in the bank might also have something to do with it too...

 Mick, $200 is C-H-E-A-P mate, a set of Heli-bars for the 12 is up around $400 !!!. I don't think you will find a set of risers for the ZZR anyway, because it has pretty high bars to start with.............

I did knock up a set for the 12, a *rough draft* you might say.........When I do the next set, I will use the gas-axe and not the stick welder........will give a better finish to the welds......

Ponti - I was away for the Island Classic, only got jam donuts down there mate

Gos, may well be CHEAP but it's $200 i'd rather put towards some pipes frankly :) They do exist, see previous post from cowasaki who is feverishly demolishing her shed looking for the set she has as we speak :D

good gawd.. I ventured and lived.

The shed, is a place that you dont want to visit at 5 in the morning. (remember to put husband on notice for incorrectly setting alarm for 345am instead of 445am  )

I fossicked and found said husbands stash... grinders, sanders, security lights, all still in new boxes, bits n bobs etc etc..those chairs he had to have that are still in plastic :?:
(Note to self...remove credit card from his wallet)

Could I find the tub with bike bits.. nope :( Will send him on what is obviously a boys excellent adventure to the holy grail of boy world tonight.

Sorry for the delay. MD.. can you PM me your addy ?
