What will i do with my rear indicators?

Post by MrStompy »

Im looking for ideas on what to do to my rear indicators.

One of those integrated tail lights would be cool cause then i could get rid of all that plastic crap around the pipe. Problem is that they are illegal (as far as i know anyway)

so has anyone got some good ideas on a mod to clean up the rear indicators that removes that black plastic exhaust cover?

btw i got a 05 zx6.

thanks

the cable ties work better than the nuts/bolts ive been using so i reckon i should stick with the ties :)

i wonder what the fine is worth if i get busted with the integrated tail light......hmmmmm

im thinking i might need a better fender eliminator that has fittings to attach turn signals.

yea...do wot plas did....

make ur own...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Fender-Eliminato ... dZViewItem

do sumthin like this... or buy one and make up a mounting bracket for it maybe??

otherwise theres the options of cutting a hole inm the ducttail (nah??) and fitting rear flushmounts...

personally, if i couldnt fit the one like in the ebay link, i'd of gone with the taillight...

Nothing wrong with the one you fitted to the zed sled but I dont know about the set up with the under tail pipe...mmm weigh up the risk of the integrated I think they would be dangerous visibility wise but they uncluter the rear to beautifully :?

Along the same lines as Neka is saying im thinking something like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super-29 ... 1135QQrdZ1
ie stalk turn signals.
the yoshi comes with this metal surround that wraps around the exhaust so that the number plate can mount under the pipe.

im thinking i could drill holes in the side of that to mount stalk signals like these.

I agree with you rob - visibilty on those integrated signals is probably going to be an issue.

i think i need to go down to MCA and have a look at their lights in the flesh to see what i reckon could fit.

I've got an integrated one on mine Jase and it looks good. Probably is illegal but I'm not commuting so I'm happy to take the punt.

You can get LED strips that can be fixed to either side of the number plate. EXBEN sells them from his shop. (02) 99394878

jpbikeboy - thanks heaps for the tip. that idea is perfect. I emailed Ben at extreme creations this arvo to see what he reckons.

if that doesnt work out i will probably do what Glen does and take the risk with the itegrated tail light.

the standard indicators look really crap...
