New lid and boots for me Birfdee!

Post by Strika »

The bride has lashed out and bought me a new lid and a new pair of Goretex boots for my upcoming birfdee! (No I ain't telling when! )

I tried on a few lids, and was nearly going to buy another Arai, but I checked out the BMW sportintegral lid and was really impressed. Very comfy, and according to the reports, very quiet too. (No not the grandpa flip up one, the sports full face!)

I also put my hand up for a new pair of goretex alpine stars too. Ended up with a pair of Effex boots from memory.

So all in all a good day...pity I have to wait till me birfdee!!!! But I am going to be away till then without a bike anyhoo so it won't be bugging me!

I was wearing Pink shirts well before I bought the Beemer Wattie!!! :D Funnily enough after the piss take you guys gave me at the Island for all my pink shirts, the bride and I had a good laugh when I opened my shirt cupboard yesterday morning to pull out a business shirt...and there on the rack were no less than 6 pink business shirts!!! The bride remarked "Imagine what the boys would say if they saw this lot!!!"

I won't need athermos Wattie, I'll have the coffe maker hooked up instead!!!!!

Yep I did only buy that OGK in Jan, but it's 15,000klms down the track now, so I am retiring it to the Race kit along with my other Arai!!!! I had been reading the reports on the Sportintegral lids, and they rave about them, and when the bride offered to buy me something a little Exxie for my birfdee, I thought to myself, what do i want that I just wouldn't buy! An expensive Helmet was the answer!!!!!! :D
(I cheated and wore it home, as I was on the bike and didn't want it to get scratched in the panniers. It's feckin comfy and insanely quiet!!!!!! :) )

Thats the same lid I have. BMW gave it to me for free.

I would have to say that it is probably the best helmet I have ever worn!

Mate they ride RT's not RS's, and the Police departments don't fork out big dollars for BMW Helmets mate! They give them shit like Lazers to wear!!!
