ever wonder what it looks like inside a running engine?

Heres one showing the inside of a petrol engine,

and another, showing the combustion inside a diesel, using a crystal cylinder head.

Amazing stuff - always known how engines work, but never actually seen it before. Reassuring to know it looks like I imagined it would.

That's so cool!

A long time ago a friend was teaching me about mechanical stuff and how engines worked. "Suck, squeeze, bang, blow" was his memorable way of describing it :D This would also be a really good way of learning how engines work - to actually see it happen!

Very cool - thanks for the link!

Geez you'd think the litter bugger standing inside the cylinder in the first one could've held the camera steady

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.
