Dont think its stretched the sprockets are fine the bike has only done 4000ks any ideas what might be causing this?

Depending on use and time sitting etc., a chain can very early in it's life develop one or two tight spots. ie; the chain has stretched, but not as much in one or more parts of the chain. maybe its either adjusted too tight (sounds like it) or if it has tight spots, u have adjusted it at a loose spot.. if u have a rear stand put it up and turn the wheel to see how it runs...graemec wrote:Ok ill check out the stretching thang, did not seem to surge really b4 the tighten up.
Might try backing it off a fraction though the tension is right on the money according to the service manual.
