Re: under the seat. . . den den den
If you'd like me to guess I think they are for locking your helmet to your bike as my Hornet has something similar. Maybe you could loop them around the D ring on your helmet and the other end back under the seat and then lock the seat down....?
Alas not having a ER6 I may be just waffling shit, maybe they are lock-down points for the flux capacitor

Hey Chikky, are these the bits I have crudely outlined in the grey box?
If so, according to Kawasaki they are a 'WIRE'
...dickheads
They look like helmet lock wires to me, one on each side.

CHIKKY, assuming you bought your bike new, get a glass, a bottle of your favourite liver killer & sit down in a comfortable chair & READ THE BLOODY MANUAL!
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Alternative - carry helmet everywhere you go! And ask the dealer/person you bought the bike from for the owners manual.

Re: under the seat. . . den den den
I just downloaded a PDF Service Manual and have seen a picture of what I think you are talking about:ZZRCHIKKY wrote:i bought the bike with 1700 k's on it and no manual lol

If what you're referring to is at the end of the red arrow then it is definitely a helmet tether cable. I'm thinking if it doesn't fit under the seat then it may be long enough to push out under frame further down.
Also, check the third post down: http://www.ninja650.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6303
BTW, if you'd like a copy of the service manual on CD PM me your address and I'll shoot you a copy.

Check my last posting for the link to a ER6 Forum, may be handy in the future.ZZRCHIKKY wrote:thank you very much people for ur advise
