well....... ITS BROKEN DOWN AGAIN *tear* got up this morning all happy that i have a road worthy and going bike again and ready to go to work... and the starter motor is stuck or something... after half a hour fiddling with it. nanna manages to make it go using the secret art of poking it till it went.... but now the damn thing is turning over and just not going... its got fuel its got spark its got air... dad even sprayed some starter helper thing in the air box and still no luck.
so if anyone has any ideas would really help alot.
new update is we have everything back to how it was last night and the night before the bike should be running... like i said above its turning over fine... but just refuses to start.

How many times have you had the tank off? If it's like the ZZR there is a breather hose under the tank, if it gets kinked/pinched/breathed on wrong is stops decent fuel flow...
If you tried lots of things to start it, it may have soiled a plug.

not sure about that breather in the tank.. but due to the fact that ti seems to have plenty of fuel in the fuel filter we don't think its the starved of fuel.. and we pulled one of the plugs out and tested on the bike to see if i was sparking it is. so even if only that one is working it should start.. and run shit but start all the same
thanks heaps for you imput but still might need alot more

Tried push starting? At the risk of stating the obvious, bike is in neutral, clutch in, sidestand up? Fuel is on.. kill switch is on...

Not necessarily. If the hose is kinked, or if there's a vacuum lock, the fuel may not travel through even when there's fuel in the filter.

push starting didn't work.. and no kink in the fuel line as i said i had taken the bike for a 10 minute ride the night before... and nothing had changed from that... current idea going around is the poor carby has shat itself.... so again sunday or monday the doner bike gives up a carby to test this
thanks for the input
lets hope the carby transplant works

well lucky one of the old man's mates pointed out that this had happened to him in the past looks like dad had ajusted the choke on the bike until it had filled the entire thing up with fuel.. the pistions and after turning it over... we had pushed it into the the rest of the engine... so looks like we had to drop the oil.... at this point which was mostly fuel out and give it 48 hours to breath and dry out.. hopefully this will fix it

i hear alot of things... but with my story i get to blame dad.. he feels guilty and hopefully will just fix it this time instead of waiting around for me to be there... this means i can't mess anything up
