New exhaust for the Gumby

Post by Glen »

My patience with the look of the stock exhaust on the Gumby tracky has finally run out. No matter how I look at it I just can't bring myself to really liking it. Unfortunately it's a bit like the red headed step kid. So this morning I bit the bullet and ordered one of these from Twinshack in the UK. 360 Pommy dollars plus freight will mean I land it for about $760 which I'm happy with. I'm sure it won't make me any faster but I think it looks a heap better and will sound better.

Now I just have to wait for it to turn up.

Good stuff Glen, the Gumby looks really good with a side exhaust. Is it a full zorst or just a slip-on?

Just a slip on from the cat back. You've got to cut a bit out of the back of the fairing where it exits. They do one for the 07/08 ZX6 as well although the underseat looks good on them. Pity Kwaka didn't do the same with the gumby

Wattie you would have to carry some serious lean agle to scrape that. The belly pan is one thing but that is because of your suspension dropping to hard under brakes. :D

on my tracky i have scraped that piece of the bellypan right where the pipe exits the belly the top edge.
and also scraped the cut out around the clutch cover.

its not the brakes, its the bumps mid corner at OP.

here's where mine scraped, :?

looks like you need to remove that big heavy heat sheid thing behind the peg, which would suck on mine, i tried to remove it early on and the bolts are like cheese, and the allen head isnt very deep. :?

it would be close to touching the ground, but you'd think once the springs are hardened up i'd be better off.

im gunna have a close look at yours glenno 8)
