Is my yoke broke? No joke!

Tyra is a 2006 ZX10R.
Under medium to heavy brakes, but not under light to medium brakes, I feel a rattling that I would describe as soft in sound and feel and feels like one tube inside another rather than a typical rattle that sounds abrasive or loud.
A friend of mine with a 2007 R1 said he had a similar problem and he just tightened the yoke.
I do not have a manual, any real clues, the tools to tighten it or the dollars to take it to a shop.
She still rides perfectly in every other way.

Does anyone:
1) know if this sounds correct? (I know you haven't seen or ridden it.)
2) if this does sound correct, know how to tighten the yoke?
3) have the tools and the time to help me out one evening/weekend at whatever time is convenient?

If it does not sound like an easy fix I will have to bite the bullet, hit the credit card & take it to a shop but I would love to avoid this.
I would much rather sort one of you guys out for your time and make a new friend than take time off work to drop it into a shop.

I am in St Kilda in Melbourne and unlike most of us here, I actually ride most weekends!
I had a bit more of a feel tonight and it did happen at low speeds too but when I jolted to a stop or hit a solid bump.
I do not believe it is anything to do with the brakes.

just tighten your yoke nut..pre delivery has not been performed on your bike correctly.

Tall Timber came and had a look at it with me at work, did a few little tests, explained what he was doing the whole time and then advised me it was the pads.
Perhaps I was being a little paranoid/anxious but if I am on my bike I want to know I am going to stay upright.
I am soooooo glad it is nothing that can't wait until my next service in another 2000km.
Still plenty of grip in the pads, the steering and yoke are fine and I have no reason to panic anymore!
