DIY Fender Eliminator 2009 Ninja 250R

Post by clay »

Don't bother.

Take it to a mechanic or get someone who's got more patience and is used to this sort of thing.

I had the day off today, had a few things to get done this morning. It was 11am when I was free and thought, I might quickly put my new FE on then go for a run up the Old Rd.

Didn't finish till 6PM!!!

The assholes sent me the wrong license plate bracket which royally screwed things up. Screws and nuts kept getting lost in and under the riders saddle. I didn't have the mounting plate fit correctly the first time I wacked everything together and went to put the fairings back on. It was a pain in the ass. I had lunch for about half an hour, and the rest of the time was spent removing the stock fender and fitting the new one. Plus a lot of cursing, throwing things and kicking fences. And drinking beer.

So, no Old Road for me today. At least the bike looks better.

Tim, something like that. I was pretty pissed with how long it took me. I'll post up some pics soon as I put them on my pc.

Reedy, that write up probably would've made it a lot easier. Wish I knew about it.

Rob, can't believe the stupidity of that fella. You'd be pissed at your mate.

Lol! Hot yeh, not cranky.

I'd just got back from a run (in sweats & a hoody!Yeh, I'm crazy) when I decided to wash the bike. Just ripped off my hoody, shirt & shoes and got stuck in to it. She was dirty as, sometimes I like my girls like that, but not this one, lol! I was periodically soaking myself with the hose and would be bone dry in <2mins. Thank God I'm not working today!

Going for a ride soon :D

I want to keep all the stock stuff intact and in good condition for when I sell the bike. And I reckon it looks better with a proper FE too.
