cleaning a fuel tank

Hi All,

I have a nice green tank for fluffy, problem is its been sitting around for ages (12months+) with a bit of old fuel in it.

I can pull the tap of and clean but the manual states to "wash" the tank internally with a high flash point solvent. Not sure what to use or where to get it, any ideas?

Cheers
Matt

i use some kero or metho and give it a good swish around in there, both will be fine if a bits left over and get mixed in with the fuel

Brake fluid works well at removing any excess rust. It needs to sit for a couple of days, however. Very hard on paint and fuel pumps so be carefull.
