Hi all.
I recently crashed my 2005 ER5 into a dirt bank and walked away, but now I have an ER5 with everything forward of the steerer tube bent and busted. Frame ok, scratches to tank, radiator cover etc. but all minor.
My dilemma is whether to fix of wreck? It seems ER5 parts are hard to come by at the best of times, let alone a replacement front end. I either fix (quote for 3k) and go to sell for 4K (1k in the green with stress) or wreck for $500.
The other option is to Modify, and Frankenstein with other bikes. Anyone know of or heard of this being done? Or anyone want a project...
Thoughts, Ideas appreciated.
Thanks,
Er5 - To wreck or to mod

Re: Er5 - To wreck or to mod
sounds same situation as my Er5 that said hello to a fencepost.. I managed to grab an er5 off fleabay for~ 1.5K that will get mine back into shape. keep an eye out for cheapies
you might also be able to frankenbike the front end off a gpz 500 .. how is the front wheel? if its still usable you can run the ER5's wheel in the gpz forks
