Aftermarket Clip-ons

Hello Girls,

With the current aussie dollar the way it is Im thinking of buying a set of aftermarket clip-ons.

My question is are they worth the money? and what do you think of Driven as a brand?

Depends why you are getting them. Driven are good. Clip ons are more for the benefit of removing your bars quickly without removing your top triple. Sure the adjustment is there but once they are set you won't touch them again.

True but as most don't have the locking nut to the triple you can angle them to where u like unlike the OEM, also most will sit in front of the fork leg not out the side as with OEM tooso for the taller ride gives you a extra inch or so from seat to bars....

Baddie choose the ones that are easiest to get replacement bars, last thing u want is to spend $200 on clip ons to either pay the same again for replacement bars or not be able to get them or having to wait weeks for them...

Replacement bars are easy once you get a length of alloy bar and grinder

Badie, Mick Hone (Vic) sells Woodcraft, can have replacement bars here in a day, or buy the set from the states & spares from MH.

You may as well buy a 2011 zx10r as that old one seems overly outdated now... Ill give u $50 posted for it And I wont even ask you to include the clip-ons

I have the driven ones but I haven't even installed them yet... they look really good in Ti sitting on the box though!

Driven had a sale late last year and their line was a 40-50% off so I grabbed all I could! I'll order some replacement bars eventually and keep them as spare though.

I do have a set of vortex replacement bars from my old R6, wonder if they would fit...

Remember to pre drill or tap the spare bars... don't want to be stuffing around with it at the track lol

I knocked up a stack of bars from a length of 22mm tube and plugged the ends with plastic caps, its a damn site cheaper than what ppl charge for em.. - almost out of em... bloody ppl crashing..
