There is still some tidying up to be done but it's finally out on the road. The new water temp gauge is reading unbelievably high and needs a resistor put on it to bring it bck into line. There's a couple of other things that still need attention but at least its on the road again. Tomorrow i'll actually take it for a spin to make sure all is good and make any adjustments I might want to make to the bars. Sounded like a damn truck in the video but in real life its a bit better

My nIne was a great bike, we had done alot of k's together and it was more of a respect thing that I couldnt have done it. If you want something a little more upright I'd go risers on the 9 rather than 'bars, or bite the bullet and nude updave#3 wrote:Without wanting to sound like gen whY pinchy, why?Phil wrote: I had the same thoughts Dave, I'm glad I didnt do it in the end.

Re: The 7 RETURNS!!!!!
Went for a quick ride into town and about for a bit today. Damn this new riding position is going to take some getting used to. Deffinately not what i'm used to. Speedo wasn't working initially. Once I got home I decided to check the magnet on the rim to make sure everything was sitting in a good enough spot to read. Found out that the magnet had lost all it's......well.....magnetism. A suitable replacement was located and now all is correct again.
Went for a quick ride out the road tonight to see how the headlights preformed. Once I got out I made sure to try and line them up down the road as best I could thats way i'm not caught out on my first night ride to find i'm possum spotting.
The gauges look the goods at night but i'm a little cautious about the acewell during the day. The smaller leds that show up for the neutral, indicators, and high beams are fairly difficult to see compared to the old stock dash but i'm sure i'll get used to it. I also had to relocate the rear indicators to the bottom of my plate. Because they are a bit bigger than the old ones they got in the way of the pack rack.
All in all i'm pretty happy. Over time i might still be tidying her up a bit. I might look into a re-spray down the track but theres no use doing that unless I replace the rear left side fairing which still has a crack in it from the stack.I might have to try and purchase some little gold bits here and there to tie in the risers and levers a bit better.

Looks good! Don't mind the exhaust sound either
ZXR750 -> ZX7R. It's an addiction, I tell you.
