Got the Horn?

Post by Nick »

How about this as a replacement for the feeble effort they put on bikes.
£25 from Demon Tweeks. 115db (3 times louder than a race exhaust).

I'm a fan of 12V air horns :D

Finaly got around to installing one on the zxr last night, woohoo.
The horn it came with has been playing up and I did pink/green/rego today so decided to fix the horn last night, and booy did I fix it!

Always a hassle to find room for them, but I think it's worth it.

When I get time and am happy with the location I chose, I'll fix it in place better with some shiney stainless steel cable ties and nice bolts :)

Too lazy for photos, gotta wait :P
ZXR"900" - In pieces... again.
Another engine gone but at least the purple and pink are still there, oh yeah.

can something like that just 'replace' the exsisting one?? just 'swap-eroo' or not that easy??
cuz i'd LOVE a 'better' (read: LOUD ASS) horn to scare the cages into knowing i am actually trying to use their road too!!!!

My mates and i all used to do the 6v conversion on our 250's. The horns are exactlly the same dimensions as a 12v one, so they bolt straight on.
I didnt have a dB meter at the time but given the threshold of pain is around the 120dB mark and these things would hurt ya ears, im guessing they were f'ing.
