hey guys
Had to replace a Tacho bulb in ZRX the other day.
The bigger (10mm) bulbs in the dash were all 1.7w/12v which i couldnt find at kawasaki/repco... etc, they all carried a minimum 3w/12v bulbs in the 10mm,
the guy at kawasaki was concerned that the 3w bulb may generate too much heat and damage speedo/tacho,
Any you guys running the 3watt bulbs?
In the end i dropped into Jaycar and they had 3w/12v LED bulbs in 10mm for $2, the bulbs were clear finish and directional so i scrubbed them up on the bench grinder to give a more diffused light distribution. Jaycar have single LED and 4LED versions, the singles i got give off plenty of light, but... they make the dash look a bit more whitish and the greens on the dash arnt as green...
easy to order the 1.7/12v bulbs online... just thought i would quiz you guys first.
Cheers
