Happy B'day to me

Post by icebreaker »

Well after some generous birthday money from the wife and kids I've gone and over extended and put a helmet I can't quite afford this week on lay-by :)

I went with the Shoei X-Twelve Elias Race Rep..

Was the nicest fitting helmet I found, and I'm hoping that the Kwaka green highlights will look good. I haven't seen the helmet in the flesh but the couple I have finally seen look alot better than the pics so I'm hoping this one is sweet as in person. Cause its alot of farking money if I decide I don't like it.. hehe

Anyone got an X-12 that has some feedback, or seen the Elias and has some comments? Pref all positive.. lol

Owe and I got it from Peter Stevens on special for $879.

Dan

Happy birthday ya old bugger,I bought a chris vermulan x-12 about 8 months ago, lots of ventalation which is good for the track, pretty noisy helmet and im saying that coming from a xr1000.Overall im pretty happy with it but you will notice it is a bit chilly when its cold. ;) Mine also looked a bit ordinary in the pictures but in real life its a really nicely finished lid.

Hmm. Well I'm in tassie. Go me thinking I maybe should have gone the X-RAY-1100 now. Didn't think it would be noisy or cold actually. It was a snigger fit than the 1100 which was one of the reasons I went for it cause the old RF-600 got really loose after a lot of wear.

On the flip side I get to listen to the Arrow race system burble it's tits off. Lol

Yeh getting there. Not taking 8 Pana forte a day any more. Went back up on the endone stuf and life is much between unless I take it late in which case brufen and Panadol are friggen useless and I'm in a hurt locker for a couple of hours. But going pretty good. My ten's machine should be here today with any luck. Stopped physio a couple weeks ago do hoping this thing helps abit.

Happy Birthday Dan.

I haven't got an X12 but my last 2 lids have been Shoeis (XR 1100) and they've been great helmets.
