Even if shark did release it, you wouldn't be able get it and use it legally on AU roads unless Ficeda (Aussie importer of Shark Helmets) imports it and compliances it to AS standard.

Its one expensive sticker!

Yeah i realise that Blackster  SydneyCityM/cycles,Bikebiz and MCAS all sell Shark helmets so it wouldn't be a problem getting one IF they released one in the Race-R Pro line...at the moment they only have Scott Reading (Sykes is a better rider!) Troy Corser (didn't he retire  )and De Puniet (at least he used to ride a Kawasaki),in the riders helmet range,i think they dropped the ball there as Sykes is consistantly their best rider out of this lot results wise (corser has retired).

What I was getting at is that aussie importers of branded helmets only bring in a small portion of the available world wide catalogue range, a good example of this is Shoei XR-1100, X12 & Arai Corsair.

They say they do this because of the cost of testing/compliancing the helmet to AS1698, whether this is true or not is another story. :?

The cost of compliance & testing cant bee too high, nor the standards........ have a look at how many $150 helmets are on the shelves, a manufacturer would have to sell a bloody heap of them to make it worth while
