That was pretty interesting. I liked the comment they made about the difference between race rubber and road rubber being so small these days that it wasn't worth wasting your money on race rubber for a road bike.

Interesting, still not real world enough for me as there is no data for the wet and general public road conditions. Track and roads are 2 different worlds IMHO.

Whats MTM got to do with it and what is it that bothers you so much about him to keep mentioning his name?
He can't write that special anyway :P

I tried out the combo that Mick (ooopppsss mentioned THAT name  ) recommended. BT014 front and BT012SS rear. Love the feel that they give - would highly recommend :P

Scotty - I picked up on that too - can`t relate to track only testing :?

well sort of confirms what I always said about the pilot sports they go off after 3 laps and the best place for them is in the corner growing spiders.

A good read and worth keeping for a bit of a refrence, I was going to go with mickyds combination next just to try it out at least you get a review of sorts to help you along the way.

I dont push hard on the road but do seem to get to the track one a month.
:D :D :D

I wonder how much a set of sportecs are going to cost.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Mickeyd, I will travel 250km's to get cheaper tyres any day, considering a rear sold at the Sunshine coast can cost $350 ea compared to a front and rear for the same money at my prefered place of purchase, I will gladly pay for 30 bucks of fuel and a lunch to get them. All up I save approximately $220 minus fuel and lunch would be $180  Be buggerd going to big shop front and pay big dollars for the same thing.(electronic balancers have been proven to be out so many times I wouldnt go near one again)

Yup, 014 front(no bad moments) and a 020 rear for me, the rear is a bit slippery on the Mt Glorious moss if I am pushing it but certainly manageable and a fair compromise of grip for wear which is so so much better. I am suitably impressed with the BT series especially the BT020 rear not to mention a nice orange peel look when I pull up at a cafe and watch the glory riders, weekend warriors and don't forget the fair weather riders who have a bit of a look at how a tyre should look after the Cedar flat run. :P .
