Newbie biker

Post by ZZR_Bandit »

Hello all,

Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Ben Simpson, I live in Albury NSW. I have just brought my first motorbike which is a 1995 ZZR 250. I got it cheap off a mate and am currently trying to get it back together and on the road. When I get it on the road I will take some pics. It's not a very pretty bike as it has been dropped nothing too bad but some of the fairings broke, my mate did get some more but they are different colours and will have too wait for a while before I can get it painted so I will be leaving it as a naked bike for now. I wouldn't mind getting a street fighter look front headlight fairing and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one (I would like one will a twin headlight) and roughly how much do they cost. I am also trying to find an online maintenance manual for it as well and would be greatful if anyone had a link to one or knows of a site where I can donload one from.

Anyway I don't want to annoy you all too much, hopefully I can get my bike on the road soon and maybe meet some people and go on some rides.

Cheers
Ben

Welcome Ben :)

I stopped for lunch at Albury on my way back from Melbourne last week.

Am sure someone can help you with the manual - and don't worry, we annoy each other all the time on this forum :D

Hey man welcome to the Klub.

Try here for the headlight assembly. Just make sure they have stock before you order, some have waited way too long for their order to arrive. Good luck with the bike, keep with it. Riding is so worth it.

Welcome aboard Ben,

don't be tempted with cheap light units, they are often very dim and have no focus to the beam.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
