non genuine zx9r forks

Post by Lykaois »

hi all im looking at replacing my damaged 2000 model zx9r forks. Problem is im on a bit of a budget... Looking on ebay there are a heap of zx6r forks and gsxr 750 forks out there which look like they take my brakes no problems. but not many zx9r ones :(

Does anyone have any expererience/knowledge in whether these forks would fit easily? Or even better does anyone have a set of zx9r ones lying around that theyd like to offload :)

edit: for example would these fit?:

The 46mm rwu ZX6 forks from '98-'02 should slot right in. As there's only ~15kg in wet weight between the ZX6-J/636-A and the ZX9-E/F, even the spring and damping rates shouldn't be that incompatible.
