I did the plugs a few weeks back "new ones" and put a K&N filter in the airbox, any opinions on this roughness I'm experiencing??
What's this.. Carbs? Valve clearance?

The ol 11's idle has always wandered a bit when it's hot but now the engine is making a rare "pop" sound, like a backfire from time to time. No dramas under power but at idle it's starting to run like a hairy goat. Two days ago at the lights it just DIED completely, like I'd hit the kill switch. It started straight back up but I was between two cars and it could have been...
if the light had been green.

I wouldnt be suprised if the carbies are jetted to suit the yoshi 4 into 1 and the previous owner put the 4 into 2 system back on it to sell it.
Sounds like its running rich at idle and although i know how to strip and clean carbies and reset to factory settings i am by no means a carburetion guru.
Runs like a hairy goat at idle and backfires some harley owners pay good money to have that installed.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Yes, I discovered the loose bits as I went along, stupid not to check the whole system when I saw the first abnormality? I haven't checked the headers where they bolt into the head yet? Better do it tomorrow. The manual is pretty silent on the subject of the exhaust system for some reason "at least I didn't find a section on it" so I don't know if any special gaskets are required. It quiet though... Under 6000RPM that is
