World Superbike Support Races

Post by Steph »

Would it be wrong of me to mention how well Jamie is doing at the first meeting (on the other brand)?

It might be a little naughty to mention it Steph, but I am sure all the green supporters are pleased to see him doing so well

I understand that he was planning to head over to the KSRC area just before the World Superbike race. Hope he makes it.

Jamie has met up with the boys. He was talking to his wife on the phone and had to go when he found them

This was what I saw on the mcnews site about the tyre penalty:

The first piece of drama to unfold at Phillip Island this weekend unfolded in the Aussie Supersport paddock that are here to participate in support races this weekend. Michelin have failed to get the homologated front tyres for the 2006 season here for their riders (Fergusson - Allerton - Staring - Waters etc.) in time for this weekend and as such these riders do not have a tyre that is legal to ride on under Australian Supersport rules. Honda have proposed to race anyway as this is a non championship round etc. but organisers have said that if they race they must start from the back of the grid and take a 30 second penalty. Obviously the Michelin runners are none too pleased but that is to be expected and they also can't expect to race on a non homologated front tyre.

He did well.. But I believe he still has the Lap Record aboard the KAWASAKI!!!!!

I wonder Kawasaki have realised that they should have paid to keep him...

Of course they have.
I was a bit surprised that he made it over the see the KSRC group this weekend. He must have really enjoyed himself with you at the GP for him to squeeze a visit in his busy schedule.
