I'll kick off....................
My 1st ever dirt bike ride, a mate leant me hi KTM 250 stroker. Left hand kickstart job. Wouldn't idle, but ran fine otherwise.
1st steep descent we encountered, I near on shat myself. It was feckin steep, and looooooooooong!!! (Goughs bay near Eildon if anyone knows it

About 3/4 of the way down, the front tucked on a rock, and I couldn't get it back. I went over the bars, and the bike followed me close behind, pinning me face down, pointing head first down the hill. The rush of blood alone to my face from gravity near made me pass out, and the heat from the exhaust pipe didn't help. I could not move at all. I tried wriggling around and sliding, but the combination of body position, bike, and the steepness of the hill, conspired to keep me where I was.
I lay there for what felt like an hour, but in reality was probably only 20 minutes. The guys got to the bottom and a little further on realised I was not there. So they sent two riders back.
I can't tell you how relieved I was to hear the bikes motors rev as they approached the hill. As they got closer, both of them fell over with laughter at seeing me all tangled up with the bike still on top of me, and very obviously going nowehere!!!!
