Rebound Problem????
After playing around with the rear (suspension) the rebound still seems slow to return. The dial on the bottom of the shock will keep turning and does not seem to have any impact on settings. Once you sit on the bike the rear drops a little, bounce on it and it will drop a little further but does not return quick at all. Is this common on sports bikes? a mate who rides dirt bikes said that it should return quicker than that. Any idea's would be great.
The bike was always hard in the ass but just wanted to get it a bit softer.

The dial on the bottom has 4 positions on it.
If you look closely and its clean you will see the numbers 1 to 4 on the dial. 1 being softest 4 being hardest although at this age the shock probly needs a rebuild so put it on 3 or 4 but it may not make much difference...
Try adjusting the preload..

that was oiled, gased, bushed, shimmed.
mine has no rebound. when u compressed the rear suspension using the love handles, it took ages to come back up. I did mine at about 30,000kms.
