IF they are really kero and nothing else added in there, I don't see why not.Mizz ZZR wrote:And, if that Aus Export stuff is just pressurised kero, can you see any problems using it on your chain? (I'm thinking spray is easier than a soaking rag/toothbrush).
Kero is recommended by chain manufacturers for cleaning chain.

Mine is covered with a side cover and has a sensational quantity of goo oozing out underneath it.![]()

on the centre stand brush and in gear, keep fingers away from hurtiesJohnnie5 wrote:
recently when i had the ZZR250 took the sprocket cover off went to the self serve car wash with a $2 ($1) can of degreaser and thankful for the centre stand was clean and spiffy and looked like a brand new chain and sprockets in no time
later into top gear lots of degreaser and a liberal dosing of the hose and all clean
make sure bike is stable as dont want it running away
i wouldnt worry too much about a once off with degreaser and the hose

I repeat DO NOT try to clean your chain with a rag while it is running!!!!
DO NOT DO THAT
Not even for a joke....
The safe and only way to do it is to put the bike in neutral, with the engine off and turn it a little bit at a time..... Its safer and you do a better job....

Lubing the chain is the only time you would consider having the bike in gear with the rear wheel off the ground. This works a treat during a long road-ride.

yea $2 stuff is good cos its pressurised , but theres better stuff out there too (shift it) ....
as for the front sprocket...my front sprocket cover is held on by 2 bolts..with the motor off, id take the cover off, and ussing a toothbrush and spray can of degreaser id clean it that way...if u have a centre stand much easier, just dont get fingers/hair/boobs caught in chain/sprocket!!
