water oil leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has me stumped

I reckon it looks like a little bit of blow by or Valve guide seal leakage sorry to say. Oil in an airbox is not a good sign!
most likely blowby. the question remains though, why the heck is there a hole in his airbox?

It's pre filter. The drain after the filter has a hose with a plug in it.

When you do this, repeat as closely as possible the type of riding that caused the problem in the first place........I think you will find that reducing the oil level this much will fix the problem.....

and don't worry about having less oil when you are flogging the ring out of it mate, thats why you have a *range* of oil level.......its still safe if its above the minimum mark.
