Your exhaust doesn't sound different does it? If the muffler has collapsed it could block airflow and choke up the engine. Does your bike have an electric fuel pump? If its nearly stuffed it might be able to keep up with the engine down low but the carby bowls empty out when you get up the bike a bit. Is your fuel filter partially blocked?

Help me out here guys. If one carbie has a big problem in the main circuit can it cause this?
Real bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway.

I thought the Zed 250's lost power through the whole range :P Mine sure feels like it does. Im guessing it's a carby problem. Welcome to the forum by the way!

i had that on my gpx 250. when it revs to 9000, it loses power and fires up again when it reaches 2000.

it also back fired once or twice. got the carbies balanced and it never did it again. Til this day i have my doubts thats what it was, but hey it worked.

there is a very cheap way to balance the carbies, but it works well.

If it was an older car I'd say check the vacuum advance vacuum hoses etc...but I am not sure what they stick in those things...crap spark, crap timing, blocked fuel filter, crapped up carb could all possibly be the problem. Maybe.

Fuel filter cheapest and easiest next best move I reckon.

You sure it's losing power and not the clutch slipping?
