You can usually pick up AFAM sprockets on this board for $50 posted, or failing that you can buy an AFAM sprocket/EK chain kit from Ron Angel Wholesale (or a distributor who can get it from them) and as long as you get standard gearing they'll guarantee the sprockets for life as long as you continue to buy your EK chains from them. There was a guy on here who could get them who I got mine through.

I once decided NOT to change the front sprocket when I was changing the chain and I regretted it later...

The rear sprocket I reckon can go longer as it takes less wear... Plus you can keep an eye on the rear sprocket easier, providing you are not seeing a cresting wave design, or tips missing from teeth they are usually fine. (in my humble opinion)
The world is round. It has no point.

Why would you replace your sprockets if only your chain is stuffed and vice versa.

You can visually check your sprockets for wear. You can measure the length of your chain to see if it's stretched and you can feel for tight spots.
